I love elephants. I am so intrigued by their excellent memories, that they have one mate for life, and that they have real feelings – they get sad and cry too!
It always breaks my heart to see stories about rescued elephants that were abused and I’ve been wanting to find a way to help.
It turns out that today is World Elephant Day, and you can pledge to support wildlife and their habitat.
I took it one step further and decided to foster an elephant for a year through The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. I will be fostering a little guy named Kauro who was rescued out of a well he was trapped in. When he was trapped part of his truck was injured.
I’m excited to get updates on his progress throughout the year!
