I was spoiled to be able to hit up two very local restaurants this weekend.  Local Root, located right off the lake in Streeterville, is exactly what it sounds like – a restaurant that gets all of its produce and meat from local farms.  I love the ‘farm-to-table’ concept and this place is a cozy little welcoming restaurant sharing the same feel as its mission.  I’ve been to Local Root for brunch twice and have gotten the Traditional and Veggie Eggs Benedict with the breakfast potatoes.  The food is always fresh, clean, and filling. I’m looking forward to trying this place for Lunch and Dinner!
