I never thought I could be the one to commit to a blog – until I turned 27. Then life happened. I became obsessed with the latest trends in the fashion industry. Instead of ‘would be nice’, my shopping trips turned into ‘had to have.’ I could cook without having to precisely follow a recipe. I took control of my health & fitness. I continued traveling and appreciated every city I visited even more than I had in the past. I stopped dealing with the drama. And, most importantly, I started living for myself.
What a revelation. If you haven’t done so already and you are in your mid-late twenties, I suggest you do so. Immediately. Many of you think you may already be living for yourself, but in reality, there is probably something, or someone, holding you back from doing what you want. It could be the comforts of your job, your friends nearby, your fear of hurting someone or your significant other. What were your life goals BEFORE you fell into the real world? Think back to that – have you achieved what you want?
This blog, although it will be ‘all over the place’ – focusing mostly on fashion, travel, and food, it will hopefully reflect in my posts me living for me.
